| Oakley Woodlands Group |

The Oakley Woodlands Group was formed in 1997 with the support of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and the Hampshire Wildlife Trust to manage and restore Cowdown Copse and St. John's Copse
The Group's aims are to:
1. Restore and maintain the woodland and it's wildlife
2. Encourage a sensitive co-ordinated approach to the management of the woodland environment
3. Encourage and promote community involvement
4. Promote a sense of awareness, appreciation of and concern for the welfare of the woodlands and their wildlife
5. Maintain and improve informal recreational facilities
6. Encourage educational usage of the woodlands by local people, schools and youth organisations
